What else has happened - Oh, I received
the following e-mail the other day:
Dear Nicholas,What else .... well I rang my lawyer up - hope to hear something in a month or so ...I would like to thank you so much for your kind and comforting words of condolence following the passing away of His Majesty King Hussein. This has been a very difficult time for all of us, and the loss is truly enormous on so many different levels. However, we are comforted by the universal tribute that King Hussein received and the genuine outpouring of affection and respect from all over the world. This support serves as a testament to the late King Hussein’s vision, courage, leadership and compassion.
We are proud and grateful that we had a king who was truly noble, the kindest of men who left us with an outstanding set of memories and a remarkable legacy to honor and perpetuate.
On behalf of the Hashemite family, the people of Jordan, and the staff of the International Press Office, thank you so much once again for your letter that was a huge source of comfort and support to us.
Yours Sincerely,
HRH Princess Ghida Talal
Director
International Press Office
Well, I was meant to be flying from Auckland to Dunedin today - but I am at Dad's and Sandra's. Gran isn't to well and I do not think she will see June out.
Why back from Auckland?? Well, I was at Marfia_Chick's (Anna's) for 4 days - went up on the 27th. Woke up at 5am, shuttle at 6am, left airport at 7:30am. Had a stop over in Wellington - 1st time I have been back to my birth place in what must be 8-10 years. Was going to be going with Gran to Te Papa - seems this will never happen.
Then up to Auckland and I guess I got there around 10:30am - managing to walk straight past Anna - sorry. So what did we do there ..... lets go back in time and see ... oh, sorry no personal stuff here ...
Yep - these comments have been edited.
Thursday 27th: Well I went from the airport with Anna to drop my bags off at her home and then to the TVNZ studio's to see my 'sister' Killer. Also met Bob - a really cool guy who used to work down here in Dunedin. Killer took Anna and I through the studio's and we had a very interesting chat about sound and camera's - pity that Killer was the only famous person I met. Killer bought us lunch - thanks sis, and then after a hug we left.
We walked accross the road and up the sky tower - managed to stand on that clear glass!!! We walked through the casino and looked at all the incredable art work. Anna explained many areas of Auckland - very informative.
Then back to Anna's and after some recreational stuff. We also walked to NewMarket when Anna bought me one of many a coffee. We went back to her place and I was soon to met her Father Dennis and his partner Mike. Dennis, Anna and I went out for tea and had a great chat.We then went to the top of Mt. Eden and had another great chat ... and other stuff.
Friday: a quiet day action wise. Was going to do something with Ang, but she wasn't to well. Did meet up with a great guy - Allan (Winddstarr/Heaven_Made4me) in St. Luke's. Interesting, must have seen every nationality walk past. Then back to Anna's and we all went out for another yummy meal. After that we went to Anna's mothers home - 40 min's out of Auckland. I met Anna's mother and her husband, ummm Ashley and her mother. Also met Anna's brother. Have photo's of some to add to my site one day. Missed out on seing Kirstin - one day I will.
We took Anna's brother back to Anna's home. He was going to the Beastie Boys concert and having his hair dreadloked - I have a b4 and after pic.
Saturday: Only Sunday and my mind has gone blank .... well we went to Auckland museum and had a great time. After that we went back for lunch and then up to see AngelaJ. What an increadable person - such a spirit and smile. Met 6 of her lively kids - and offer still there to babysit if u need me :o) Then back to Anna's for tea and Anna then took me out for some cake and coffee. Had a really good talk also. Went back to Anna's and watched 'The Life of Brian'.
Sunday: Hmmm ... sad day as my last in Auckland and then back to Dunedin. Well in the morning I went to Joy Cowley's book shop. Also heard of Anna's cousin's engagement and Anna being a bridesmade - excitement, excitement. After that we met up with Aaron/Mouse and went for another coffee. Love that coffee :o) Then us three went to the top of one Tree Hill. Hmmm ... brob best not to mention going through that red light.
Back to Anna's and ... welll ... then to the airport :o( Left at around 4:30pm. Was due to have a stopover in ChCh and noticed Cathie was on. After ringing Dad - and discovering gran was sick, I was pursuaded, and with Cathie's help reclaiming my bag, decided to stay. Was going to be until Wednesday - but umm ... lets just say when I was staying only wanted me there until Tuesday.
I had the most increadable time in Auckland - just so special ... thank you very much Anna - words cannot express my gratatude.
On the way to Dad's we poped into the hospice to see Gran. She was very sleepy, but not in any pain. I hope to get hold of my cousins tomorrow - well the two left in Christchurch.
Since i last wrote the following has happened:
~ finished my assignments, exams in 2 weeks

Well I'm off to bed - will write more soon. Only hope and pray that gran will be ok.
Oh, Manchester United won the Prem. League,
F.A. Cup Final and Euro cup. Oh, there was also a rugby match or
something!!!
Will be back in Dunedin tomorrow at 3:40pmSo what did I do today?? Hmmm ... got up around 7am, breakfast, chat and walked to the Square, looked around and walked back. 65 minutes walk each way. Got back nad visited gran after lunch. Also rang up rae and DirtyDog ... hope to see both tomorrow.
Just got off the phone from speaking to Michelle - tks for that chat sis ... won't type here what happened after the phone call. I am hoping to write a letter to Gram for her to read after I leaver - going to be hard to write as this might be the last day I see her.
Went with Dad to see her again tonite. She was sitting in her chair and eating. Seems the recent medacian is assisting her. Rang up some relatives and made some personal observations.
Oh, also dropped off at Gran's flat and went to see judy - met her partner. Rang up and chatted with Martyn and couldn't get Ben.
Cathie's little dog went missing of Friday - it was found on Sunday and hse heard today. Great to hear some positive news.
Been thinking about Auckland - a fantastic trip - but have some personal issues to discuss.
Well close to midnite so off to bed.
